Scope and information collected
This policy covers our website, app, enquiries and orders. We receive names, business details, telephone numbers, email and delivery addresses, product requirements, correspondence, quotations, invoices and transaction references when you provide them or transact with us. Provide information needed for your enquiry or order, and avoid sending identity documents or sensitive information unless specifically needed through an appropriate secure channel.
Why we process information
We use information to answer enquiries, recommend products, prepare quotations, process and fulfil orders, arrange delivery or collection, maintain accounting records, prevent fraud, resolve complaints and comply with legal obligations. Processing relies on contractual steps, legal obligations, legitimate interests or consent as appropriate. We request information required to fulfil an order; without it we may be unable to supply or deliver. Marketing consent, where required, is separate from ordering; you may opt out by contacting us.
Website technology and app storage
The website uses WordPress and WooCommerce, with hosting, caching and security services including Hostinger, LiteSpeed, Jetpack and Wordfence. These services may process technical request information such as IP addresses, browser/device details, timestamps and security events. Cookies support sessions, shopping baskets and login features where used. Site Kit by Google is installed; installation alone does not establish which Google measurement services are enabled. We do not rely on this notice as consent to non-essential tracking. You can control cookies and site data in your browser, although blocking necessary storage can affect functionality.
The app stores basket contents, favourites, delivery/payment preferences and quote previews in browser local or session storage. Its service worker caches app files and product images for offline use. Filling in an app quote does not itself send the quote to Dynachem; the current flow prepares a WhatsApp message for you to review and send. You can remove app data through browser settings or the app privacy page. Clearing device data does not delete correspondence already sent to us.
Lesaka payment processing
Lesaka is our selected online payment provider. Live card checkout is awaiting activation; choosing a payment preference does not collect card details or charge you. Once enabled, the approved payment flow will send the information needed to process and reconcile a payment, such as order reference, amount, currency and necessary customer details, to Lesaka and its processing partners. Card details must be entered only in the approved secure payment interface. Dynachem will use payment status and transaction references to manage orders and refunds. Lesaka processes information under its own privacy notice, available at adumoonline.com. We will update this notice to match the actual integration before launch. Never send card details, CVVs or OTPs through an enquiry.
Recipients and international processing
Information is accessed by authorised personnel and relevant hosting, technology, email, messaging, accounting, delivery and payment providers where needed for the purposes above. Choosing WhatsApp shares your message with WhatsApp/Meta and Dynachem when you send it. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to protect legal rights. Some technology and communication providers operate outside South Africa; cross-border processing must meet applicable POPIA requirements and appropriate contractual or other lawful safeguards.
Retention and security
We retain information only as long as needed for enquiries, orders, legal record-keeping, disputes and security. Accounting and tax records are retained for the applicable statutory period; outstanding disputes or legal obligations may require longer retention. Device data remains until cleared or overwritten. Backups and security logs follow the relevant service retention cycles. When no longer needed, information must be deleted or de-identified. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access controls and available security tools; no internet service is completely secure.
Your rights and contact
Contact tate@dynachem.co.za or 079 806 9549 with the subject “Privacy request” to request access, correction or lawful deletion; object to processing; withdraw consent where relied upon; or stop marketing. We may verify identity and explain legal retention limits. You may complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator through inforegulator.org.za. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. This notice will be updated when our services or processing change.
