Tyre Nu Black Paint-On Tyre Renewer

Tyre Nu is a water-based, black paint-on tyre renewer designed to refresh the appearance of black tyres. Applied with a sponge applicator or soft cloth, it produces a new-look finish that does not easily wash off once dry.

The manufacturer describes a quick-drying treatment with a longer-lasting appearance in wet weather. Thorough cleaning before application helps achieve an even coating, while removing excess product supports a consistent finish.

Refresh the Appearance of Black Tyres

Tyre Nu is intended for black tyres where a refreshed appearance is required. For vehicle detailing, restrict treatment to suitable tyre sidewalls and keep it away from the tread, braking components and other areas where grip is essential.

This is a cosmetic treatment rather than a repair product. Inspect tyres for damage, cracking, unusual wear or other defects before detailing. A renewed appearance does not establish that a tyre is safe or extend its service life.

Check the tyre manufacturer’s care requirements before use. Obtain guidance where a tyre has special markings, coloured features or an unfamiliar finish that could be affected by a black coating.

Prepare the Tyre Before Application

Thoroughly clean the intended treatment area using a recommended water-based degreaser. The technical sheet names Polykleen or Release as preparation options. Confirm the correct cleaner and its separate dilution instructions before starting.

Remove dirt, grease and previous residues, then rinse away the cleaning solution. Dry off excess water before applying the tyre renewer. The manufacturer identifies this preparation as important for an even coating that does not crack when dry.

Do not mix the cleaning product with the tyre treatment. Complete the cleaning and rinsing stage first, then use a separate clean applicator for dressing.

How to Apply Tyre Nu

Inspect the tyre and confirm suitability for cosmetic treatment.
Thoroughly clean the sidewall using an appropriate water-based degreaser.
Rinse and dry off excess water.
Apply the product generously to the intended surface using a sponge applicator or soft cloth.
Allow the product to absorb into the tyre surface.
Dab off excess and allow to dry.

Use controlled application to keep the black treatment within the intended area. Work around the sidewall evenly and take care near wheel rims, lettering and adjacent bodywork.

The supplied directions describe direct application and provide no dilution ratio. Do not invent a water-to-product recipe. Follow the current container label and obtain manufacturer guidance before changing the preparation method.

Drying and Final Inspection

Tyre Nu is described as quick drying, but the sheet does not specify a drying time in minutes. Allow the coating to dry before returning the vehicle to use rather than assuming a fixed turnaround time.

Inspect the finish for uneven areas or excess product. Check that no treatment has reached the tread or braking components, and resolve any accidental transfer before the vehicle moves.

Do not apply an additional heavy layer simply to create more shine. Follow the stated absorption and excess-removal procedure, and ask for advice if the first application does not produce the intended appearance.

Finish and Wet-Weather Performance

Once dry, the manufacturer states that the coating does not wash off easily in wet weather. This supports a more persistent cosmetic finish, but it should not be interpreted as permanent waterproofing.

No measured durability period, number of washes or mileage guarantee is supplied. Actual appearance will depend on preparation, application and the conditions the tyre encounters.

The product is also described as not attracting dirt and dust. Continue normal vehicle cleaning and tyre inspections rather than treating a dressed surface as maintenance-free.

Pack Sizes and Storage

Tyre Nu is supplied in 5-litre and 25-litre polycans. Choose the pack size that suits your detailing workload, available storage and stock rotation requirements.

The manufacturer lists a shelf life of 18 months. Store in a cool, dry place with the cap tightly fastened when not in use to help prevent evaporation.

Keep the product locked up and out of reach of children. Retain clear container identification and ensure that staff can access the application instructions.

Handling Precautions

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not swallow or inhale the product; it is harmful if swallowed. Consult the current label and Safety Data Sheet for protective equipment, first aid and spill-handling instructions.

Use an appropriate work area and protect nearby surfaces from accidental transfer of the black liquid. Keep application tools organised and follow the workplace procedure for cleaning equipment after use.
